Almost forgotten flowers
People are increasingly trying to reconnect with nature. They bring plants inside their homes or start an allotment. As a florist, you can hand them nature on a silver platter. First arrange terracotta pots on a slate or tray, then make the pots waterproof with some plastic or by inserting a plastic pot. Finally, pour in a small amount of water (and maybe fill the pots with floral foam). Get your inspiration for the flowers from ‘Grandma’s summer flower garden’, think of ageratum, sedum and clematis. This creates an interesting mix of nature and nostalgia.
Emphasize the natural feeling with a handwritten sign, that could read; ‘Connected to nature’.
